Steve Harris and Nicko McBrain had joined forces with Pat Cash and John McEnroe in 1991 for a Wimbledon gig and released the Led Zeppelin song Rock and Roll for Live Aid/ Rock Aid Armenia - a charity set up to help children in Armenia. Whilst not billed in the press as appearing (Rod Stewart, The Who, Peter Gabriel Wet Wet Wet and Oasis) this invite came from the collection of one of the directors of the Iron Maiden group of companies.
