Printed on reversal film these positive images produce?colour transparencies that were used in commercial photography until the?mid-1990s when digital media gradually replaced them. They were preferred for?publication because of the film’s higher contrast and resolution, the colours?are more vibrant with a finer grain and better resolution and sharpness?compared to traditional negative films.
